Facts and fiction about poison sumac:

Fluid leaking out of poison sumac blisters can cause the rash to spread.
The fluid that leaks out of blisters does not contain any urushiol and cannot spread the rash.

Poison sumac is contagious.
Once the oil has been washed off the skin, it is not possible to spread the rash to another person, or other areas of your body.

I've never had poison sumac, I'm immune, so I don't need to worry about it.
